Pommel Mane Spray Review

First Impressions…

Bright, stylish packaging, which is completely on brand! Pommel’s principles were truly refreshing, striving on being cruelty-free, against testing on animals, with 100% natural ingredients. A fresh take on horse mane and tail, we were very excited to be taking Pommel’s Velvet spray to the test. We also thought, along with the eye-catching, packaging this unique mane and tail spray would make the perfect gift!

Performance

As we began, Velvet we notice the incredible aroma of soft spearmint, with subtle notes of citrusy orange! The smell was unlike any other product we had used before, but we loved it!

We firstly took through Lady’s mane and tail. Lady can sometimes become upset at loud powerful spray, so we appreciated the fine, effective and quiet mist Pommel’s Velvet produced. We hadn’t combed through Lady’s mane and tail beforehand, as we wanted to trial the true detangling power of Pommel’s mane spray. With a quick spritz and leaving it dry, combing through tangles was a breeze and her mane and tail were left with a soft, subtle shine. We also brushed Velvet across Lady’s body. It did not saturate her coat, unlike some, or leave a sticky residue. Instead, Lady’s coat was left smooth and soft, with no signs of irritation.

The benefits of Pommel’s Velvet spray were long lasting, and we needed much less when deciding to reapply!

Trialling the stain removal power, we tried to remove both wet and dried on stains from Lady’s socks! We found dried on stains lifted amazing after liberal application of Pommel Velvet. Application to wet areas of staining did remove the stain as well, but noticeably improved the appearance.

Disadvantages…

Velvet is a little pricier than some other mane and tail sprays on the market, retailing at £19.99 for 450ml. However, postage is FREE with any orders over £14.99 from www.pommel.co.uk, which more than makes up for it!

If using of stains, wait until the stain dries then apply liberally to the area for the best stain removal effects!

Verdict…

Velvet is a fantastic product for long-lasting detangling and softening of the mane, tail, and coat. Perfect for sensitive skin with great brand principles, Pommel’s Velvet is our new grooming kit staple!
