NHS Frontline Nurse Launches Equestrian Giveaways Website Early to Raise Funds

An NHS frontline nurse has made the brave move to launch her new business, Equestrian Giveaways, four months ahead of schedule to help raise funds for the NHS as the fight against the coronavirus pandemic persists.

The new website offers visitors the opportunity to win amazing prizes, by entering one (or more) of the competitions available. To enter visitors simply choose a preferred prize, enter their details, answer a question, and where applicable, submit the entry fee. Once a competition entry has closed, a live draw will be available for all to see via the Facebook page.

Founder of Equestrian Giveaways, Beatrice Vaughan, planned to launch the website in August 2020. However, dealing with the pandemic first hand at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the decision was made to move the build forward and donate 100% of profits in May, June and July to the NHS Charities Together campaign.

Beatrice’s partner, Ben Hodson, has played a pivotal role in preparing the business for early launch by working tirelessly to get the website ready ahead of schedule. Ben, a start-up advisor, sales consultant and in his terms a “long-suffering horse husband” spoke of how plans had changed in the wake of lockdown;

“We had planned on building the website, approaching well known equestrian brands and product partners and launching just before our wedding in September of this year. However, all our plans went out the window when the lockdown was imposed.”

“The wedding has been postponed for another year, and the business has launched four months early. I had planned on Equestrian Giveaways being a commercial venture to recoup some of the money that gets spent on our horses, however, Beatrice was adamant that we launch quickly and donate everything to the NHS. So that’s what we’ve done.”

The Equestrian Giveaways website went live on May 4th and has so far received support from a selection of well known equestrian brands such as Ariat, EQUI-TREK, HoneyChop, Equestrian Index, LeMieux and now Everything Horse too. Many of the competition gifts have been donated to the fledgeling business to assist in raising funds the NHS charities.
