New World Record Set for The Most People Throwing Wellington Boots

Meirion Owen, a well-respected sheepdog handler, judge and event organiser has set a new World record for ‘The Most People Throwing Wellington Boots Simultaneously’. Outdoor boot specialist, Grubs, supported Owen during the RWAS May Day Fair at Llanarthne Hall & Playing Fields.

The original Guiness Book of Records number stood at 431, but the people of South Wales who participated in the attempt smashed this and it now stands at a whopping 636.

Said Meirion: “I was ecstatic when I received the news we had broken the Guinness World Record. What an achievement! It was an enjoyable day and I want to thank everybody who came to the fair and participated in the attempt. This record would not have been achieved if we hadn’t had all that support.

Continued Meirion: “Also a big thanks to Grub’s for their generous donation of 250 pairs of Grub’s boots, otherwise it would have been quite difficult to get hold of enough wellingtons for the day.”
