In an FEI Icons interview (May 2021), Fuchs stated “Clooney made me a better rider and horseman of me. He helped me understand horses better”.

You can see a selection of the partnerships best bits in the YouTube video below.

A decorated equestrian from a young age, Fuchs has enjoyed considerable success throughout his time in the saddle. His outstanding career on board Clooney 51 ranges from Silver medalist in the World Equestrian Games 2018, Individual European Champion 2019, to a member of the Swiss Olympic team in both Rio (2016) and Tokyo (2020). Currently world no.2 in the Longines Rankings, he has enjoyed 181 recorded FEI wins with his most prolific horse being Clooney 51.

Having returned from Tokyo two weeks ago, where Fuchs and his team finished just out of medal position (Team segment) in fifth place, he was hopeful for what the rest of the season had in store “Clooney jumped beautifully in every round. Some small mistakes, but very happy with his performance and looking forward to the rest of our season” Quote Instagram.
