Horse stabbed while grazing on grassland in Sunderland

Horse stabbed – A Sunderland based horse has been left injured after being stabbed in the neck whilst grazing on grassland.

The injured horse, Lloyd is a five-year-old black and white cob based just off Saint Lukes Road.

The cruel attack happened between the hours of 10am – 6.30pm on Wednesday 13th January 2016, the Sunderland Echo have advised.

Local horse owners are being reassured the police and local neighborhood watch are doing everything they can to identify those responsible for the crime.

There has been no further information released on the horse since the attack.
