An evening with SAS Who Dares Wins star, Colin MacLachlan, is being organised to raise vital funds for North East Wales Mountain Rescue, a charity close to the heart of Everything Horse sponsored rider Donna Harrison.
Taking place on November 15th, 2024, at the Holiday Inn in Cheshire West, the evening will feature an auction, dinner, disco, and raffle to support the purchase of a new rescue stretcher for the charity.
Colin, a respected military veteran, served an impressive 18 years in the Royal Scots and the 22 SAS unit. He has lived to tell the tale of many incredible and dangerous experiences, from being kidnapped to hunting down guerrilla gangs and hijacked planes. Since retiring from the forces, he has provided high-level security to the likes of the Saudi Royal Family, been named a Sunday Times Bestseller, and found recent fame on the hit show SAS Who Dares Wins.
The North East Wales Mountain Rescue came to Donna’s attention in less than favourable circumstances during 2022, when, had it not been in operation, the outcome could have left her with life-changing injuries.
“I suffered a massive leg injury when I fell from my horse while riding along a remote bridleway in Mold, which I am still recovering from,” said Donna. “The team took 20 minutes to get to me, where they were able to apply emergency treatment before lifting me to safety while we waited over two and a half hours for an ambulance.”
Since the rescue, Donna has worked passionately to raise funds for the charity, ensuring they can continue to support others who find themselves in similar situations.
Tickets for the evening are on sale for £50 per person, with table bookings for 8-10 available along with an exclusive event-only sponsorship opportunity. Donations and raffle prizes are welcomed to help support the overall fundraising appeal.
