Your Horse Live 2015 – Another Fantastic Year!
Hundreds of soaking wet visitors arrived at the gates of the 2015 Your Horse Live event at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire today (14/11/2015). Top riders waiting in the wings were Charlotte Dujardin and funny due, #Yeboi Ben Hobday and Paul Tapner hoping to engage the audience with top tips for success and to set the arena alight with laughter.
The heavens continued to pour, but needless to say, visitors flocked in their thousands not letting the wet weather dampen spirits.
Your Horse Live has grown over the past few years to be the largest and, possibly one of the best equestrian shopping extravaganza’s the UK has ever seen! Held across three large halls, a marquee and two arenas, the shopping once again failed to disappoint. Everything from industry favourites Dengie, Ariat and TopSpec to the smaller, more traditional equestrian boutiques can be found amongst the many stands at this year’s event, providing plenty of retail therapy for any visitor.
From hats to Browbands, ‘bling’ continues to dominate retail outlets, with the unusual rodeo belt also making a comeback. The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) has also provided plenty of entertainment in the form of the ridden simulators which many adults, as well as children, seemed to enjoy. For a small donation to equestrian charity ‘The Brooke – the animal charity that helps people too’, visitors to the stand are able to ‘have a go’ of Robo Cob and his fellow field mate.
The rescue village was, once again, a popular attraction to many of the guests attending the event. World Horse Welfare, the RSPCA and a selection of other equestrian charities brought along several of their current residents all in the need of a new home, each with their own story to tell.
The equine learning zone is back again this year with guest speakers including Dengie Nutritionist, Katie Williams and Head of Veterinary Care at Redwings, Nicky Jarvis. Perhaps one of the most exciting itinerary items for the learning zone this year is the Celebrity Q&A with Charlotte Dujardin!
The event boasts two ridden areas, the British Equestrian Trade Association arena, where the larger demonstrations are held and the smaller NETTEX arena where there’s still plenty going on throughout the weekend. Both proved just as popular as spectators were spilling over the edges, each tiptoeing to catch a glimpse of the action.
As the day drew to a close and the crowds died down, there was barely an empty hand leaving the halls at Stoneleigh park, proving there really is something for everybody at this event! Tubs of treats, retail goodies and a fair few rugs seemed among the top buys for the day.
The event concludes tomorrow (15/11/2015), if you have bought tickets or are considering a trip to the event don’t forget to take a brolly as there’s a little bit of walking involved from the car park to the event!
