Gilles Fortier is bringing a never seen before performance to this year’s show. Combining athletic and agile horses with bold and gallant riders, the performance is set to be a show stopper which will astound the audience. Gilles Fortier combines dance, theatre and circus performances with fire, pyrotechnics and modern effects to “awaken emotions” in their audience.

The 2016 Horse of the Year Show will host the finals of the most highly regarded national Showing and Showjumping Championships, alongside International Showjumping and an exciting line-up of equestrian entertainment including the spectacular Gilles Fortier ‘Vulcanium – Dreams of Fire’ Performance, a Dressage Master Class with Olympian Carl Hester the Virbac 3D worming Pony Club Mounted Games for the Prince Philip Cup, Osborne Refrigerators Scurry Racing, as well as the world famous HOYS Puissance. The popular Parelli Interactive Feature Area will make a welcome return, and of course the famous HOYS Retail Village featuring hundreds of trade stands.
