Tryon International Equestrian Host Pony Spectacular
The Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) Summer Series is excited to present the USHJA Foundation Pony Spectacular as part of competition this week at the venue, which will include fun entertainment and events for competitors and their families, as well as spectators and fans.
Pony Class Highlights:
Majority of the pony classes throughout the week will be hosted in the George H. Morris Arena to help riders and their mounts prepare for USEF Pony Finals, which will take place later in this summer in Lexington, KY. Friday afternoon will be highlighted by the $10,000 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby in the George H. Morris Arena at 3:30 p.m. The winning combination from the derby will be honored during the $86,000 Adequan® Grand Prix CSI 2* on Saturday evening.
Pony divisions will be hosted in the George H. Morris Arena throughout the day on Saturday, featuring twelve classes, while on Sunday, a $1,000 Pony Jumper Classic will take center stage. Don’t miss out on the chance to shine in TIEC’s biggest arena!
Pony Spectacular Events:
Thursday, June 29: Cool down and soak up the sun at the Welcome To TIEC Pizza and Pool Party for the Pony Spectacular at Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club. Enjoy the pool, assorted pizzas, drinks and novelty ice creams from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29. Shuttles from TIEC to the pool party will be provided.
Friday, June 30: Movie Night and Buffet at Legends Club will feature a special screening of The Secret Life of Pets on the jumbotron at the George H. Morris Arena. A kid-friendly buffet and desserts/popcorn will be available on the Legends Club porch.
Saturday, July 1: Be sure to check out the Hobby Horse Celebration & Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 1, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Special Events Tent near the George Morris Arena. The Hobby Horse competition begins at 5:00 p.m., and ice cream is available from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
