Somerford Park Raise the CIC1* and CIC2* Prize Fund

Somerford Park International are delighted to announce an increase in this year’s prize fund across both CIC1* and CIC2*.

World renowned producers of equine surfaces, Andrews Bowen sponsor the CIC1* with a total value of £1000, the first three places receiving:

1st    £500
2nd    £300
3rd    £200

Somerford Park’s CIC2** has once again been kindly sponsored by Rookery Park Stud of Nantwich, Cheshire as well as support from Devoucoux with an increased prize fund for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places:
1st £800
2nd £400
3rd £250

Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Cheshire countryside, Somerford Park is one of the UK’s most established equestrian venues and enjoys enthusiastic support from leading national and international riders.

This year’s event runs from 18th – 20th August and once again plays host to a stellar international line up including; Tim Price, Laura Collett, Jeanette Brakewell, Sam Ecroyd, Alex Hua Tian, Bill Levett, Harry Meade, former Pony Team Gold Medallist – Yasmin Ingham, Willa Newton and Izzy Taylor.

Willa Newton has a packed Somerford programme in store, with as many as 9 entries across the levels, including her Burghley hopeful, Chance Remark who is down to run in the Open Intermediate class on the Friday:

“With really good ground, Somerford is perfect for the older horses and for the younger horses, it’s a really nice educational track with the show jumping always on an Andrews Bowen surface.”

Join us in a couple of weeks time for an affordable and fun day out for all the family entry is £10 per car and £5 per person.
