Sadness Hits Inaugural Liverpool International as Horse is Put To Sleep

Following on from our post yesterday evening it is with great sadness that we announce the death of Antello Z after the 1.45m two round class at the inaugural Liverpool International Horse Show.

The bay gelding, owned by Cameron Hanley Showjumpers crashed into an oxer, unseating rider Cameron before exiting the arena. Cameron was unhurt in the accident however the horse was immediately transferred to Leahurst Equine Hospital where he was later put to sleep due to a serious injury.

As day two of the Liverpool International gets underway our thoughts are with the rider and his team.
