The stats

  • Secure disc front fastening
  • Three surcingles
  • Detachable hood
  • Horseware reflective strips
  • Medium weight 250g filling
  • Fillet string

The ergonomic fitting of this rug clearly demonstrates Horseware’s ability to produce rugs that not only fit the contour of the horse’s body but move naturally with it too. The rug is cut with front and hind arches allowing for greater flexibility around the shoulder area which also gives for a closer fit to the horse’s middle.

The front disc fastening is a quick and easy way to attach the front of the rug without having to wrestle with mud filled buckles and gives for a good even surface distribution.

With a medium weight filling this rug is ideal for those horses with a natural winter coat, or a partial clip. The rug stood the test of time in a field full of youngsters who inevitably played all day long, and thanks to the 1200D outer there are still no tears, despite lots of playing and nibbling taking place!

Even in the wettest of weather, this rug kept the horse warm and cosy. The polyester lining and fibrefill inner allows for a breathable layer between horse and the climate providing them with a waterproof yet breathable turnout rug.

When soaked the rug wasn’t overly heavy on the horse’s body and dried easily when hung up or left on the horse for a swift turnout the following morning.
