Mitsubishi Motors Drives Forward for the 26TH Year at Badminton Horse Trials

This year sees Mitsubishi Motors celebrate its 26th year of title sponsorship of the world’s premier three-day equestrian event, the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials.

Since becoming the title sponsor in 1992, Mitsubishi Motors has gone on to become synonymous with the most prestigious 4-star equestrian event in the world, one of only six such top-level global events and a highlight in the equestrian calendar.

Alongside its title sponsorship of the Badminton Horse Trials, which this year takes place from 3rd-7th May, Mitsubishi Motors also supports the Mitsubishi Motors Cup. This competition gives amateur riders the opportunity to compete over the same famous parkland as the professional riders, just before the international competition begins.

This year also marks another milestone for Mitsubishi Motors – the 100th anniversary of the production of its first car, the Mitsubishi Model A.

“We truly value both the sponsorship and relationship built up with such an iconic brand,” said Hugh Thomas, Event Director of Badminton Horse Trials. “Mitsubishi Motors is highly identified with the sport of equestrianism and is a vital part of the team here at Badminton Horse Trials; we look forward to continuing our excellent relationship over the coming years.”

Lance Bradley, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: “We are delighted to have been title sponsor of Badminton Horse Trials for so many years. To reach such a milestone in any partnership is a great achievement and to do it in the sporting arena is truly remarkable. This accomplishment is testament to the relationships we’ve built with the Badminton Horse Trials team, and we are very much looking forward to celebrating with them in May and for many more years to come.”
