The Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner from Absorbine is an easy to use tack cleaner that we predict will be establishing itself as a firm favourite in our tack room moving forward! Easy to apply with almost instant results, the product does exactly as it states on the bottle with minimum fuss.
The team at here at Everything Horse tested the Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner on a well wintered pair of Ariat Belle H20 Boots, and we were more than pleasantly surprised with the results! Before application the boots had hardened with the mud due to the excessively wet conditions in the UK over the winter period. After a rather simple application of the product, the leather not only felt soft and supple but looked conditioned too. The lightweight oil only enhanced the leathers natural colour, helping restore the look and feel of the boot almost back to its original condition.
A little goes a long way – Application was via a cloth, although a sponge can be used (as stated on the bottle) a little bit goes a long way, so apply sparingly. Once absorbed you may choose to apply a second coat, we found using two layers adequate.

A quick wipe down with a damp cloth to remove excess mud and dirt, leave for a couple of minutes to dry and then on goes the Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner. It wipes over the leather easily without over absorbing or leaving saturation marks or patches, a particular advantage when cleaning large areas of leather i.e a saddle.
- Easily absorbed – Our well weathered boots seemed to thoroughly enjoy a bit of TLC! The oil was wiped over the boots and dried without leaving a residue or feeling sticky, giving them what felt like a new lease of life.
- Easy to dispense – The bottle comes with an easy to dispense cap, great for storing away without the chance of spillage, there’s also no battling with screw on lids with slippery hands after application, minimising the chance of cross contamination.
Mould and mildew
The conditioner is infused with mould and mildew inhibitors, helping protect tack and other items over a longer period of time i.e when being stored away.
Overall conclusion
The product is easy to use and dries quickly leaving a restored look and feel to leather items. Thoroughly recommended for this time of year when cleaning show tack, as well as year round to re-condition worn/dirty tack and other leather items.
