Cyden Bodyguard Moorland to Stand at Stud in 2016 – Stallions at Stud
Dressage stallion KWPN-approved Cyden Bodyguard Moorland will once again take a short break from his competition schedule to stand at Stallion AI Services.
Known as Mr Nice Guy for his exceptional temperament, Bodyguard, by Gribaldi x Negro x Cocktail has a pedigree second to none and has already proved himself to be a sire of talented youngsters, while moving up the ranks in his own dressage career, currently competing at Small Tour Level.
Based at owner Lara Dyson’s North East Lincolnshire Yard, 2015 was another successful year that saw Bodyguard help fulfil Lara’s dream of gaining her GB flag when the pair were selected to ride in Le Mans, France.
Bodyguards’ impressive looks make him stand out from the crowd, and give him a real presence in the arena, add to this his correct confirmation and outstanding athleticism, provides the whole package for a potential sire of a young dressage horse.
Combining the most successful modern breeding lines for dressage with some of the most established sources of dressage talent in The Netherlands, Bodyguard literally has dressage royalty running through his blood.
His offspring are also starting to make their mark in the competition arena with Gladstone, owned by Nick Lawson and Hannah Dovey, winning the Shearwater Young Dressage Horse Championships for four-year-olds in 2015 at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage. The stallion put in an impressive performance in a class of 29 exciting young prospects for the future.
Florance Christi, owned and ridden by Christine Cockerton, qualified for the Shearwater National and International Finals in 2015. On her debut Novice test, the mare scored 80%, which included five nines.
Stallion Guardian S gained his KWPN-approved status in the autumn performance test of 2014, proving Bodyguard, to be a sire of quality progeny, especially considering the stringent testing of the KWPN studbook.
Cyden Bodyguard Moorland will be standing at Stallion AI Services for a limited period in April and June for fresh and chilled semen. Frozen semen is available all year round from Cyden Bodyguard Moorland, Cyden Oostings Amigo and Cyden Cadans M.
